TMC Lotus is authorized to teach Thai Massage classes by TMC Chiang Mai using the same curriculum and teaching material and by applying the same techniques. This ensures authenticity of teaching and practice of the traditional style of massage as carried out in Thailand.

TMC Chiang Mai is accredited by the Thai Ministry of Education and by other institutions and organizations worldwide such as:

Australian Association of Massage Therapists
USA National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage
Canada´s College of Massage Therapists.

Introducing the teachers

Marijke Winton - recognized instructor

Born in Amsterdam 1963, Marijke has a background in caring/nursing since the age of 17. In 1998 she graduated in Edinburgh with a degree in Occupational Therapy.
During her frequent travels to Asia since 1986 she developed an interest in Asian healing arts with its focus on balancing energy and a more spiritual view on health and well being.
Moving to live in Thailand in January 2003, she started her study in Thai Massage at the traditional Thai Medicine School at the temple Wat Pho in Bangkok and in 2005 she completed her 600 hour Teacher Training course at TMC Chiang Mai.
As a member of Cofenat (Spanish association for alternative therapists) Marijke also works as a complementary therapist providing detox programs and colon hydro therapy. She speaks English, Dutch some German and she is learning Spanish.

Irene Lübbert - assisting instructor

Irene was born in Holland 1966 and moved to Spain at an early age. She returned to Holland for her professional training at the college for massage and movement in Amsterdam. It was here in 1993 she had her first experience with Thai Massage.
In 2003 she travelled to Thailand where she studied Thai Massage in depth at the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai.
Since 2005 she teaches Thai Massage at CIM in Alicante. As a private therapist she practices foot reflexology, lymph Drainage, deep tissue and metamorphose massage. She also works with tibetan singing bowls and aura reading. Irene is fluent in Dutch and Spanish.

TMC Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai

TMC Chiang Mai was founded in 2001 by Jan Chaithavuthi and Kanchanoo Muangsiri ¨Noo¨.

Jan has a BSc in Nursing and an MPA in Health Management. She worked as a nurse specialist in the USA for 20 years. Jan has a strong interest in promoting safe, effective and pure Thai Massage for the wellness of individuals and the community. She is co-founder, CEO, and lecturer of TMC Chiang Mai.

Noo has a B.A degree in Mass Communication and a vast experience in teaching and training to the Thai community and to refugees. She is a certified Thai Massage Practitioner and holds a post in the National Committee for skills and Testing Standards in Thai Massage of the labour and development department. She is co-founder, director and lecturer of TMC Chiang Mai.
